🌟 Recommendation Details

As Adam learns at the Abbey of St. Alban, his minstrel father Roger travels in France, learning new stories to tell the nobility of England. At school, Adam is bored with the lessons, but he plays his harp on rainy days during free time, and is friends with another boy named Perkin. Additionally to all these things, Adam has his dog Nick, a red spaniel, to meet and play with. One St. Alban's day, Adam and Perkin sneak out of the Abbey to meet Nick and give him some food. After taking Nick out on a walk together, they hear news of a minstrel from France, and Adam is sure he is Roger. They go to see the minstrel, rumored to be in the service of a Sir Edmund, and it does turn out to be Roger. They leave the city together, and go entertaining the nobles together. When they leave however, Nick is stolen and Adam goes chasing after him, losing Roger in the process. Will Adam find Nick and Roger or will he wander the roads of England in vain? I recommend this book because it is a tale of wandering and searching, and we sometimes need to search for things without much hope as well.
