📖 Piggie and Elephant Book: The Thank You Book

Piggie has a lot to be thankful. He is going to thank everyone who he thinks is important to him. Elephant Gerald doesn't think that Piggie can thank everyone. He thinks Piggie will forget someone important. But Piggie believes he can do it. Piggie thanks squirrels for their great ideas; thanks snake for playing ball with him and thanks pigeon for never giving up. Gerald still thinks that Piggie will forget someone. Piggie then thanks many animals for being great friends. He says he is a thanking machine. Gerald tells Piggie that he has forgotten someone very important. Piggie thanked more animals. However, Gerald still says the same thing. Piggie suddenly realizes that he did miss someone important. He goes over to Gerald and thanks him for being the best friend. However, Gerald still tells Piggie that he has forgotten someone very important- their reader! They both thanked their readers. Reason for recommendation : This is a sweet story about gratitude, good to read around Thanksgiving. The illustrations are lovely.
