📖 Stormbreaker

In Stormbreaker, the first of the Alex Rider books, 14-year-old Alex Rider thinks he is having a pretty ordinary life—until he discovers that his uncle, Ian Rider, wasn't actually a banker, but instead a spy! When his uncle dies, presumably in a car accident (and without a seatbelt!), Alex starts digging into the accident and discovers that nothing adds up. Instead of a car accident, he finds bullet holes in the windshield. So that means it was murder! Shortly after this discovery, Alex finds himself pulled into the dangerously thrilling world of espionage by MI6, the British secret service. His first mission? He has to find out what someone is doing with a powerful new computer called Stormbreaker, that is being distributed to schools around the country. What he learns is terrifying—Stormbreaker is not simply a computer. It is a deadly weapon—a secret weapon, designed to deliver a deadly virus version of smallpox intended specifically for schoolchildren. And not only does Alex have to stop Stormbreaker, but he has to stop it before it is too late. I recommend this book to people who like adventure.
