🌟 Recommendation Details

In Lois Lowr y's Newber y Medal-winning classic, twelve-year-old Jonas lives in a seemingly ideal world. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver does he begin to understand the dark secrets behind his fragile community. The Giver, the 1994 Newber y Medal winner, has become one of the most influential novels of our time. The haunting stor y centers on twelve-year-old Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, a world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memor y does he begin to understand the dark , complex secrets behind his fragile community. The themes of freedom and security are balancedly and beautifully presented. Talks about a world presented as a utopia but is really a dystopia. I highly recommend this book , not only is it intriguing in ever y event of the book , the more you think about those events, it slowly changes your perspective on how you view Jonas and his life assignment. As someone who read this when I was younger, I found it to be one of my favorite books that were really interesting. I also had a perspective of Jonas when I was younger, but now as I rethink it, my perspective and thoughts have totally changed. It's a book that really makes you think if you ponder over it long enough. The Hunger Games
