Winnie is a witch who looks a little scary. She lives in an all-black house with her black cat Wilbur. Because the house and Wilbur are both black, Winnie often sits on him or trips over him. To make things easier, Winnie first uses magic to turn Wilbur green, and then turns him into a colorful cat. But Wilbur doesn't like his new look, and the birds laugh at him. He feels sad and hides in a tree. When Winnie sees that Wilbur is unhappy, she changes him back into a black cat. Then she uses magic to make her house colorful. From then on, Winnie can always see Wilbur, and they live happily together. I love this book because the pictures are colorful and full of imagination. I also like the message of the story. Winnie loves Wilbur, so she doesn't try to change him anymore. Instead, she changes her house. This teaches me that true love means respecting others and being willing to change for the people we love.
