📖 Listening with My Heart: A Story of Kindness and Self-Compassion

The main character of the book is a girl named Esperanza. One day, she saw Bao sitting alone on the bench and Bao only spoke Vietnamese. Esperanzo found a soccer ball and kicked it to Bao. Esperanzo and Bao spent the whole recess laughing. After that Esperanzo looked up Mrs.Owen's English and Vietnamese book and wrote "Friend"in Vietnamese and put it on Bao's desk. The next day was the school play. When Esperanzo went on stage to speak, she tripped. And then she forgot her lines. When she was sad about her performance on stage, Bao found Esperanzo and gave her a paper that wrote " Friend". The sense that impressed me was when Esperanzo gave Bao slip and Bao gave Esperanza slip too. I recommended the book because I want you to know that everybody makes mistakes and has bad days. It is ok to be angry or sad, but remember to be a friend to yourself and love yourself as much as you love your friends.

这本书讲的是一个名叫埃斯佩兰佐的女孩的故事。有一天,她看到宝独自坐在长凳上,宝只会说越南语。埃斯佩兰佐找到了一个足球,踢给了宝。埃斯佩兰佐和宝,度过一个欢快的课间。之后,埃斯佩兰佐查找欧文夫人的英语和越南语书,用越南语写下"朋友",放在宝的桌子上。第二天是学校的戏剧表演。埃斯佩兰佐上台演讲时,被绊倒了。然后她演讲忘了台词。当她对自己在舞台上的表现感到很伤心时,宝找到了埃斯佩兰佐,给了她一张写着"朋友"的纸。 给我留下深刻印象的是埃斯佩兰佐给宝纸条,宝也给埃斯佩兰佐纸条。我推荐这本书是因为我想让你知道每个人都会犯错,都会有糟糕的日子。生气或悲伤是可以的,但要记住做自己的朋友,爱自己就像你爱朋友一样。
