Thirst is about a kid named Minni who lives in the poor regions of Mumbai. Her mother works for a rich woman who lives with other people in a large high rise building for small pay, however, her employer is very nice, and even pays Minni's school fees so that she doesn't have to go to the government run schools. Minni's mother soon gets sick, so Minni has to work instead. She later discovered that the city is running on a low water supply as mafia bosses are stealing the water and selling it to the original people that owned the water. There are corrupt officials as well, and Minni soon discovers that the woman that her mother works for husband is actually a mafia boss. She has to navigate through the challenges that face her, and will she be able to report these findings to the authorities, or will she be rejected, saying as she is less than 15 years old and knows more than the government? I believe that people should read this story because it shows some of the hardships that some people face, and also, I think it's a good moral as well, and sometimes can show you what life seems to someone that doesn't have the things that we have.
