March is also Women's History Month. Let's read some books about some great women. This book is about how Bessie Coleman became the first black woman to have a pilot's license. Bessie grew up as a girl who loved reading, math, and science. She and her parents lived on a farm, with a white man as their master. Later on, she was determined to be the first black woman to be a pilot. Of course, she did. I suggest this book because it is an inspirational biography book, and teaches about Bessie Coleman's determination.
