🌟 Recommendation Details

In Obie is Man Enough, a transgender 13-year-old struggles to find his place in the world. After his coach kicks him off the swim team and his two best friends suddenly become distant, Obie feels like his world has been turned upside down. One of his best friends, a boy named Clyde, starts bullying him for being transgender, and his other friend, Lucy, begins to ignore him and starts hanging out with other people. But he makes new friends at his new swim team, and also meets a girl from a sandwich shop who becomes more than a friend. As Obie navigates through life as a boy, he has some challenges and also some success. I would highly recommend you to read it because of the lessons that are weaved unexpectedly into the book. It encourages other transgender kids to not be afraid to be who they are, because we all have a place in the world.
