📖 This Is Your Time

A famous activist named Ruby Bridges tells the story of being the first black student to integrate into an all-white school. She tells the story of her first days at school and how she needed marshals to protect her from the racist people gathering at the school and chanting horrible things. She also explains how helpful and kind her teacher was to her. The story provided famous quotes from important Civil Rights activists as well as pictures of important moments during the Civil Rights movement. I recommend this book because it is a moving and motivating book that reminds us about equal rights and the story that changed American history.
