On your trip to the past in your commercially rented, state of the art, FC3000™ time machine, it has unfortunately broken down, but you helpfully find a repair guide. Even more unfortunately, the guide simply states that it is impossible to repair it. However, it offers you an opportunity to rebuild the future, one technology at a time. From creating food supplies and keeping them for a long time to the creation of modern technology, and even summarizing philosophy with a bunch of sentences about high-fives, this guide teaches you step by step on how to recreate your modern experience, how to "invent everything" if you will. I find this book interesting because of its simplicity and concept, of a guide to put yourself back into modern times by yourself. Though this may not serve much of a purpose, it is entertaining and serves as a sort of history of technology. Overall, I recommend this book for its humor and how it explains history.
