You've probably heard of kids who have disabilities, like people who are blind, can't hear, autism, and more. Explored through Ms. Sonia Sotomayor's own experiences of having diabetes, the book explains many different disabilities and how children with disabilities work together. There's asthma, dyslexia, Tourette's syndrome, and many others. They have one shared trait though: they can ask questions and learn from each other! Together, they plant a garden using their disabilities to their advantage! I recommend this book because of its moral that by having an open mind and heart, kids with disabilities and kids without can build a more understanding world. This book also has a vibrant and almost sandpaper-like art style, which adds to the message of the story.
