📖 The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe

The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe is about a young seventeen year old girl named Poe, who was just promoted to being the Captain of the Outpost gold mining ship. Poe had just experienced a tragedy in which her best friend and love interest Call was killed during a raid on the Outpost. Now the captain, Poe is hungry for revenge against the raiders and changes her ship by arming it to the teeth. As she and her crew are assigned to extract gold from the dangerous and raider filled waters of the Serpentine River, Poe suspects that there is a traitor amongst her crew. Will Poe be able to snuff out the traitor in her crew, and will she ever find a way to forgive and move on from her grief? I recommend this book because it is action-packed and has an amazingly emotional and meaningful plot. The book is wonderful for those who like naval stories and also emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and coming to terms with one's grief. Readers learn valuable lessons about the harm that the thirst for revenge can cause through the character development that can be seen in the protagonist and can even experience some heartwarming romance along the way.
