🌟 Recommendation Details
Darius the Great Is Not Okay follows the personal journey of Darius Kellner, an Iranian–American teenager with clinical depression, as he makes a best friend for life, meets and tries to reconnect with his grandparents in Iran, and repairs his relationship with his father.
I would recommend this story to people of *nearly all ages since it introduces the world from a teenager's perspective, and as he survives a dark time in his life. I particularly liked Darius's complex relationship to his father and how depression had affected both of them. I loved how much I learnt about Iran from it, too, and all the descriptions of food were amazing.
