🌟 Recommendation Details

It was early autumn in 1901, and Ajax, who was the clumsy dog of the Tate family, went on a walk with Calpurnia Tate and Travis Tate. Calpurnia, an outgoing and fun girl full of confidence, was deeply concerned when Ajax had just chased a porcupine up a tree, and his muzzle was filled with quills. With the whole family worried, Father Tate rushed Ajax to Dr. Pritzker, the animal doctor, who helped Ajax recover in no time. Some would think Ajax learned his lesson; however, that was not the case. When Ajax encountered a porcupine on a walk again, he didn't hold back and immediately lunged at the porcupine. As he panted and drooled, the dog's whole face was covered with quills. Although the quills were removed, his face was still heavily swollen. It seems like Ajax learned a lesson the hard way, and rest assured he would never dare to come close to a porcupine again. Reason for Recommendation: This exciting book in the Calpurnia Tate series describes a dog's terrible encounters with a porcupine. Young readers will be on the edge of their seats with the plot.
