📖 Meet Me Halfway

I would recommend this story because it portrays an interesting world where it tells the story of almost two completely different characters who would be our protagonists. Mattie Gomez on one hand feels completely uprooted from her original home located in Minnesota and forced to live with her new stepfamily in the state of California. Then, she met her counterpart, Mercedes Miller. Mercedes Millar is almost the most different person that Mattie could think of as Mercedes is used to getting what she wants, when she wants, has a very short fuse, and she lives in a big empty house with her Nanny, whereas Mattie's life is packed to the gills, 24/7 chaos, and she is a planner. They may look the exact same, however they couldn't be more different. However, they discovered that they at least have one thing in common, a dad from Colombia that neither of them had ever had the chance to meet. So, they decide to join in arms and discover their father. These polar opposites suddenly have to work together in fake sleepovers, evade friends, and plot daring escapes from school field trips to track him down.
