📖 Little Excavator

"Here comes the BIG RIGS rolling down the street. Thumpa-thumpa, bumpa-bumpa, BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" They are strong and giant, while little excavator is small, and he really wants to help. Unlike the Big Rigs, Dozer, Loader, Dump truck, and Backhoe, however, he isn't strong, tall, or heavy. Near the end of the day, there is one last task to be done, but none of the Big Rigs can do it. The task is to cross a very narrow bridge, and who wants a job and is tiny? Little Excavator! He crosses the bridge and finishes the day off, proud that he has found something at which he is good. Reason for Recommendation: Young readers can have fun learning about different work trucks and that everyone is good at something in their own way.
