🌟 Recommendation Details

Located in the future of the planet, there is no end or death to life — people will continue living and they will never die, not even if they throw themselves off a rooftop for fun, like Rowan. The only way to truly die is by the hands of a scythe, professional killers always with a ring and a weapon by their sides, randomly killing people at times to prevent overpopulation. So when a scythe comes knocking at Cynthia's door, she fears the worst — one of her family member's will get killed. But it turns out that it's the opposite: in thanks to their generous hospitality, Cynthia and her family get granted a kiss on the ring, which guarantees them that they are immune to scythes for a year. Cynthia thinks it's too easy, and that's when the catch comes — she'll be a scythe's apprentice, training how to kill, along with Rowan. And if one catch wasn't enough, there's another — only one of them can have the ring. And the other one will, almost certainly, die. I recommend this book because it is an amazing read. I first read this in school, but I picked it up at the very day the due date came, so I really couldn't read it for two months (summer break!). Fortunately, I found a copy in my friend's house and immediately started. Once you read this book, it is very hard to forget about the truly astonishing friendship, bravery, and risks each character takes.
