Hillary Rodham Clinton grew up in a small midwestern town with nice parents. As a child, she was always encouraged to speak up, even when it was not normalized for a woman to participate in higher roles that required more education. From a young age, she was inspired by the quote "do all the good you can." Her town was mainly republican, which caused her to be republican for her younger years. In high school, she advocated for a "Republican club" where she was the captain and held multiple different debates to the point one classmate said "she's going to be president one day." During college, she was extremely passionate, however, her heart was leaning towards democrat while her brain was leaning towards republican. Slowly, she became a democrat after seeing no senator caring about what she believed was the most important and most undervalued minority in America: children, as well as meeting her future husband Bill Clinton, who inspired many of her future political campaigns. I would recommend this book because it provides an easy way to explain the life of an important political figure without getting into extremely complicated parts.
