Helen Keller was very intelligent when she was young. However, after she fell ill, she became both deaf and blind. Despite all the difficulties, Miss Sullivan, a dedicated teacher for the blind patiently assisted Helen in learning numerous words. She was very patient disregarding Helen's occasional temper tantrums. As Helen matured, she mastered Braille and eventually could read conventional books. With the assistance of another educator, Hellen started to learn to speak. She studied French and German, showcasing her determination and intellect. Helen graduated from Harvard and was the first deaf and blind individual to earn a college degree.
