🌟 Recommendation Details
Mo is much smaller than most of the other kids on his team, and he's almost never been to the field before, because of his small size. One day, his team, the Robins, were playing against the Jays. In the final minutes, Coach Steve tells Mo to go in, and to run deep. The Jays don't believe that Mo will catch the ball. Coach Steve throws a ball to Mo, but he smeared it with butter, so Mo doesn't catch it. This makes the Jays think that Mo is weak and can't catch a ball. The first two runs of the game, Mo ran deep, but nobody passed to Mo. The Jay guarding Mo stopped as well, because nobody passed to Mo. During the final moments of the game, Coach Steve tells people to throw to Mo, and the Robins win the game. This book is a winner of the Theodore Geisel Seuss award. Reason for recommendation: this book teaches kids to not judge a book by its cover. ꔷꔷ T Th h ee B B ee rr ee n n ss tt aa ii n n B B ee aa rr ss P P ll aa yy Football ꔷ

The baseball game is held at the great big stadium outside of town. We walk through the gates and sit at a place with a very good view of the field. We drank and ate, and wore the caps with the names of our favorite team. Watching the players catching and throwing, and runners racing to each base was awesome. Home run! What a hit! The ball lands in a lucky fan's mitt. The game ticks on. Everyone cheers. The home team won! The crowd waves goodbye. Goodnight baseball! Reason for recommendation: This book is perfect for little baseball fans. It has great illustrations, and is fun to read.
