🌟 Recommendation Details

Since International Women's Day is coming up, it seemed right to tell the story of a brave black woman named Isabella Baumfree, or Sojourner Truth. Isabelle grew up as a slave with her mother, father, and eleven siblings. Her siblings and Isabelle were sold when she was nine. She had a good master, but his wife was a horrible person. Isabella had two children, a boy and a girl. She ran away with her baby girl, and was able to find a good master. However, her previous owner had sold her son, and with the help of lawyers, finally found him. In the next few years, she became a speaker, and fought for the rights of black people. This is how she became known as Sojourner Truth. This is a great book because of how the author made it seem like Sojourner Truth was telling the story, the illustrations, and how inspiring it is for her to stand up for her people. ·鲍姆弗里(Isabella Baumfree)或者叫Sojourner Truth Sojourner Truth" Sojourner Truth Lillian's Right to Vote
