📖 The Inventor's Secret

The Inventor's Secret story is a thrilling, creative, and very interesting story made by Andreas Cremer which follows an alternative universe where the American Revolution fails. Here, the American Revolutionaries and Patriots fail to get the sufficient naval power and support from France and Spain as they did in the real timeline, leading to a surrender of the Patriot armies in 1781. All signers of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and others are hanged in Boston, which has been razed to create "The Crucible", a prison for all resistance members along with New York to create "The Floating City", a sign of Britannia's strength. In this world, our main characters are a group of teenagers including Charlotte, her brother Ash, Jack, Meg, Scoff, amongst others. In this story, we go from the Catacombs, a deep web of underground caves that provide a refuge for this group of resistance children, to "The Floating City", a sign of Imperial excess, and to a variety of different topics. I would recommend this story because it is a creative one that is made from a complex combination of young adult content, alternative history, and thrill. This story truly is a very intriguing one and I would highly recommend it for its steampunk-esque style of writing and genuinely deep and creative storytelling. Thus, I would highly recommend "The Inventor's Secret".
