Piggie has a trumpet that she wants to play in front of Gerald. When Gerald sits down and starts to listen, odd noises come out, like Sp-ack, Qu-ark, and Blonk! Gerald tries to hide his concern and lack of enthusiasm that Piggie is not making music, and that she sounds like his aunt with a cold. However, Piggie asks Gerald straight up how she did, but Gerald hesitates to find a kind way to respond. He eventually spills out his opinion, "That was not music." With a positive friend like Piggie, though, she understands him and shocks him when she states that she was trying to sound like an elephant. Gerald, who jumped in surprise, agreed to teach Piggie about her accent.
Reason for Recommendation: This book will for sure make readers laugh with a funny plot and onomatopoeias for trumpet sounds.
