📖 Jack and the Baked Beanstalk

Jack and the Baked Beanstalk by Colin Stimpson is a modern fairy tale. Jack and his mom run a little burger café. After the overpass road is built, they find out there's no more business for them. The café is close to broke. Jack uses his last pennies to buy a bag of baked beans and starts his magical adventure. The Giant, who counts his money lonely, is surprisingly friendly and a very good cook! He joins Jack and his mom and opens a very successful café together. I recommend this book because the author retells the well-known Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale in a relaxing and happy tone. There're many details different from the original story。It is fun to read this modernized version, especially in contrast with the original.
