🌟 Recommendation Details
Greg Gaines starts his senior year of high school, he has been doing the same thing for the entirety of high school, trying to not stand out in order not to be picked on. He joins none of the social cliques and is proud of it, his only friend being Earl Jackson, with whom he makes amateur movies with. When his mom forces him to meet Rachel, a girl he used to know in Hebrew school, because she has been diagnosed with leukemia, he slowly grows closer to her. I recommend this book because of its amazing character development of the main character, and the emotional subtleties involved with how Greg interacts with Rachel and how their relationship changes over the course of the book. It does contain some emotionally difficult moments, but I believe it is worth reading.
