Lucero Elisa, a princess of Orovalle who was born with the Godstone or a gemstone in her bellybutton that marks the chosen one by God, is getting married. However, she is getting married to a man she never met, and it is the King of Joya D'Arena also known as Alejandro. Their union is due to a sudden need of alliance between Orovalle's men, whom Elisa is part of, and Alejandro's kingdom, in war against a dangerous enemy, the Invierne, in the mountains. While Elisa is overshadowed by her intelligent and charming older sister in her small kingdom, Alejandro, who is surprisingly kind to Elisa, is the charming king of the largest kingdom. The next morning, Elisa bids her dad and sister farewell, and travels with her two maids, Aneaxi and Ximena, to Alejandro's kingdom. However, everything goes downhill very fast. To start, Aneaxi dies due to a fatal attack on the journey, and Elisa also gets spied on by Condesa Arina from the Alejandro's kingdom, who doesn't like Elisa being the new queen. Things get a little better that night when Alejandro's six year old son with his first wife, starts to appreciate her, and the priest, Father Nicandro, shares with her the secrets of being the bearer of the Godstone at the Quorum of Five meetings. Just as things are going well, however, Elisa is kidnapped in the middle of the night. She wakes up to her kidnappers, who are Cosme, the maid of Condesa Arina, and her brother, Humberto, who are dragging her across the desert toward a mysterious settlement of caves in their hometown. What's in front of Elisa is an ongoing and waging war, betraying friends, close encounters to death, new romantic connections, and many more plot twists. Read more to find out!
