Inside Out and Back Again tells of a young girl named "Ha" who lived in southern Vietnam with her father who was a MIA (Missing in Action) during the Vietnam war, as Vietnam was divided in two, one with a communist regime, and one with a democratic regime. Ha's family lived in the city of Saigon, the capital of Southern Vietnam but heard of its collapse when she moved to Alamaba, in the United States in a Navy ship to find safety in the center of the war. Ha faces issues with and gets bullied as she was from Vietnam.
I would recommend this story to people because it tells about the story behind people who are from war-torn countries and it also teaches some cultural and historical facts. Although the Vietnam War was a war itself, it was part of the Cold War, NATO against the Soviet Union. This caused more divides against countries around the world. But it also shows the individual hardships that the wars have caused.
《Inside Out and Back Again》讲述了一个名叫"Ha"的小女孩,她和在越南战争中失踪的父亲一起生活在越南南部,当时越南被分为两个国家,一个是共产主义政权,一个是民主政权。
