🌟 Recommendation Details

On a fateful day, Clay receives 7 mysterious cassette tapes with no return address, and once he listens to them, he is horrified. It's the voice of Hannah Baker, the girl who had committed suicide. He listens carefully, and he is learning and piecing together the parts of her story, and what it ended with, learning horrible secrets that uncover the dark reality of the people around her and the actions that they did that led to her demise. In Thirteen Reasons Why, Clay is forever changed with these cassette tapes and realizes what he could've done to stop the end result, something that all of them could've done, and displays to us in a heartbreaking and remarkable story with the burden that we are all responsible for what we do. I must recommend this story written by Jay Asher as this story is a very deep, dark, and very mature story that is simply remarkable, highlighting in the story multiple times that every single small thing builds together into a massive snowball that crushes everyone in its path. Jay Asher is also able to combine both Clay, the narrator, and Hannah who is taping her thoughts, into a unique two narrative novel with Clay piecing together Hannah's thoughts together, and realizing the horrible truths. This novel presents us to take responsibility for our actions and thus, I will recommend this excellent novel, Thirteen Reasons Why.
