📖 Mercy Watson: Princess in Disguise

The tale of Mercy Watson: Princess In Disguise tells of Mercy, who is a pig and everyone knows about Mercy because she wears her favourite colour which is pink as well as a crown for her Halloween costume, and although at first she is not sure if she should wear it, once Mercy finds out that because she wears it she can eat toast, she quickly falls in love with the costume. The Watsons call Mercy their princess and take her to be a princess in the town, where the Watsons meet Annie Litt and her brother, Baby. While Annie thinks that Mercy is cute, she dislikes pigs that are dressed as princesses. The three kids then chase a cat, but the cat escapes before they can catch it; ultimately, the kids and the cat are all chasing the pig second through the whole neighbourhood, and the cat gets stuck in a tree, prompting the fire department to come help. At the end of the story, all the kids and Mercy and the Watsons sit together eating toast, and there's a nice illustration about how being adventurous can be fun for Mercy!
