Georgina Hayes, along with her brother Toby, and her mother, live in a car after they were kicked out and left by their father. They're in a desperate need for money, and Georgina's classmates don't make it better by asking her where she lives and why she always wears the same thing to school. Georgina doesn't want to tell them the truth: the only thing their father left them were some quarters and dollar bills, their mother is handling two jobs poorly, they go to gas stations to wash, and they sleep in a car. However, Georgina decides to change their lives after a flyer she notices for a missing dog. The owner claimed to give $500 to whoever found it, which gives Georgina a cruel, evil, and yet, genius idea. She would steal a dog.
I recommend this book because it is interesting and very fun to read. It shows the readers that, sometimes, the most logical ways to do things aren't the best ways and that not everything is as it seems.
