📖 Princess Academy

Princess Academy is about a young girl named Miri who lives in a region called Mount Eskel. Mount Eskel was known for its unique export of a mineral called Linder, and its people were isolated from many neighboring kingdoms. Off course, it came as a shock to the people of Mount Eskel when the Kingdom of the Lowlanders announced that the prince's next bride would be chosen from Mount Eskel. Miri, along with every other girl from Mount Eskel between the ages of 12 and 18 are sent to a Princess Academy where competition is fierce to learn the ways of a princess and earn the hand of the prince. I recommend this book because it has an interesting plot line and is very captivating to read. Once one starts, readers have a hard time putting the book down. Princess Academy is a sweet tale of young love and also explores the competitive dynamic between girls who are desperate to help their families. Of course, Miris's quest for love is not that simple, as her love life gets more complicated as she makes new friends and the prince makes an unexpected decision.
