It was a normal day when Crawley invited Alex to play ballboy in the Wimbledon Games. He quickly figures out someone, acting on a Chinese gang's orders, is drugging some of the players on the field, and Alex narrowly dies in the process. After narrowly escaping yet another encounter with the gang at the beach with Sabina Pleasure, 14-year-old spy Alex Rider is given another go as he is used to try and become the child of some CIA spies from America attempting to look into a strange island of Skeleton Key, where he finds out the leader of the island, General Sarov, has a plan to destroy the whole world with a nuclear bomb! Sarov is driven by the past glory of Russia, and aims to explode the bomb and pin the blame on the west, creating world war III as a result. With that said, this means Alex Rider and the CIA are put into a dangerous situation that involves action, adventure, and close escapes. Will they make it out alive, and will they stop Sarov from destroying the world? I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action, adventure, and spies. This book is action packed and immerses you like YOU are Alex Rider. The description is vivid and perfect. Thank you!
