Being the new kid in school is hard enough, but what about when nobody can pronounce your name? Having just moved from Korea, Unhei is anxious that American kids will like her. So instead of introducing herself on the first day of school, she tells the class that she will choose a name by the following week. Her new classmates are fascinated by this no-name girl and decide to help out by filling a glass jar with names for her to pick from… IRA Teacher's Choice L P P A R d Ridi H d Lon Po Po: A Red-Riding Hood G1

In this book, a little girl named Unhei moves from Korea to the United States. There are unfamiliar streets and buildings, and she would have to start at a new school. On her first day, people on the school bus noticed her and asked for her name. She told them it was Unhei, but they couldn't say it correctly. She was embarrassed, so when she introduced herself, she said that she didn't have a name, and would pick one for herself. There were many suggestions, but at the end, she chose her original name, Unhei. I suggest this book because it's related to school, and has an important lesson for a girl in a new place.
