🌟 Recommendation Details

Eva is about a 13-year-old girl who wakes up after a car accident to discover that her mind has been transplanted into the body of a chimpanzee. Before the accident, Eva grew up around chimps because her dad worked with them, so she understands their behavior better than most. However, this new reality forces her to adapt in ways she never imagined. The story takes place in a dystopian future where wild animals and their habitats are nearly gone, and human life is valued above all else. As Eva learns to navigate her new life as a chimp, the book explores how she copes with her challenges, including the ethical questions surrounding the experiment and the treatment of animals in a world driven by human greed. I'll admit that some of Dickinson's books didn't completely capture my attention and full understanding, but Eva did it for me. This book is thought-provoking and so hard to put down, to put it literally. For me, it's one of those books that'll resonate with you for the rest of your life. It makes the reader question what it means to be human, and how we should and currently treat other living beings. If stories of survival, ethics, morality, and what the future could potentially have in store capture your interest, this book is worth reading.
