A mother bird was sitting peacefully on her egg until it started to jump, so she hurried to find food for her precious baby bird. Only a few moments after the mother bird left, the baby bird jumped and jumped out of the egg just to wonder, "Where is my mother?" After looking around, the baby bird started his journey to find his mother. From falling off his nest to encountering possible "mothers," like a cat, hen, and even a boat, the little bird was determined to find his mom. Just as the little bird lost hope, Snort, a construction machine, picked him up and stopped midair. The Snort was putting the baby bird back into his nest, while his mother arrived just on time! At last, the baby bird found his mother. Reason for Recommendation: These illustrations for this simple and lovely story are simple and will help young readers understand the text.
