The BFG is a beautiful story that takes place in 1970s England about a young girl named Sophie who befriends a giant who calls himself "The Big Friendly Giant". Sophie learns from the BFG that other giants are evil and eat humans, but the BFG is kind and only eats snozzcumbers to satiate his hunger. Together, the two try to stop the evil giants from terrorizing England by using the BFG's skills of dream catching.
This book is a wonderful read and takes you to a magical new world of giants and dreams. The characters are unique and have a wide variety. The BFG is an immersive and fantastical story that can be enjoyed by all ages, so much so that it has been made into a movie. I recommend the BFG because it is a classic fictional story, and it is incredibly enjoyable to read.

The Big Friendly Giant is a book by Roald Dahl. It talks about an orphan named Sophie, who has become friends with a big giant! They go around collecting dreams and having fun, but Sophie is disturbed by other giants eating humans. She then plots with the Big Friendly Giant to stop the other giants from eating humans once and for all. G2 Wayside School (series) AR Level: 3.3-4 Wayside school is a series of books by Louis Sachar, but you can read each book by itself. Each book has many chapters that are all hilarious. They all take place at Wayside School, which is an elementary school where many weird things take place. This book is sort of like My Weird School, with lots of jokes.
