Crime and Punishment tells the story of a college student in St. Petersburg. He killed a pawnshop hostess because he wanted to escape poverty and realize his ideals. He felt that his reasons were justified. But after committing the crime, he fell into deep regret and torment. Finally, under the condemnation of his conscience, he surrendered and accepted the punishment of the law. I recommend this novel because it vividly reflects the themes of sin, redemption, kindness, morality and other human nature, and the description is vivid and lifelike, which makes people unable to stop reading.
